1. Find the cracks: clean the base surface, find the cracks, and mark along the cracks with a colored pen or chalk.
2. Drill holes: according to the thickness of the concrete structure, the distance from the crack is about 15 to 35 mm, and cross-drill holes on both sides of the crack direction. The hole spacing should be determined according to the actual situation on site, and the principle is that the slurry can meet at the crack after grouting the two holes. Generally, the hole spacing should be 300 mm at the beginning; the size of the hole diameter should be determined according to the size of the matching water stop needle, and a non-standard 13mm drill bit is used. The hole and the crack section should be 45 to 60 degrees and cross in the 1/3 range of the middle of the bottom plate.
3. Bury the water stop needle: The water stop needle is a matching component, which is a connector for the grouting material to be injected into the crack. When buried, it should be tightened with tools, and the rubber part of the needle and the hole wall should be dry before use, otherwise it is easy to cause slipping during tightening.
